An unprovoked attack!

I recently adopted a wonderful dog from a rescue whom I named Jessie. I took her to Petco obedience class and she bit another dog with no provocation. It wasn't bad but I am afraid I will not be able to handle her as Jessie is rather strong.

There is no magic elixir to suddenly make your dog behave completely as you would like them to, but what you can do is learn to identify the warning signs (there are ALWAYS warning signs) when your dog is exhibiting dominance or is uncomfortable and in a fearful state of mind. I can teach you how to handle these situation before they escalate. You also need to learn how to project the energy of a Pack Leader so that your dog is less likely to assume the leader role and try to make decisions on his own of how to handle these typs of situations.

There are other activities that should become part of the dog's daily life to minimize the occurence of this unheathly state of mind that leads to aggressive outbursts.
